Welcome to my boudoir website. I'm thrilled you are here and considering me for your photographer! I know it can be hard choosing the right photographer for you when it seems like literally everyone these days is a professional photographer. Unfortunately, just because they own a decent camera, doesn't automatically make them a great photographer. It has taken me many years of training and experience for me to become the photographer I am today. I started my business in 2009 and am professionally trained in posing, lighting and current photography trends. I am a registered business with the state of Ohio. I am also a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America.)
I have a home studio where I do my beauty/fashion/boudoir work. I am super easy to get along with and most clients tell me I have a way of making them feel comfortable and putting them at ease during their session. We will have fun, I promise! I just wanted to give you a little information on boudoir photography and why it is not only my speciality but truly my passion. My mission is to empower women one session at a time.
Why I chose Boudoir: Boudoir is not trashy or inappropriate in any way. It's about empowerment and loving yourself and feeling sexy and comfortable in your own skin. Part of the boudoir experience is helping women to embrace themselves and all their curves and imperfections. They are what make you well, you after all. I want women to realize that they are beautiful today, right now. Not when they lose those 10 last pounds or finally have that "perfect" body. If you are always planning ahead for the future and what might be down the road, you don't stop and enjoy the present moment and just how freaking amazing it is. I want you to see just how gorgeous you are and to leave feeling that way as well. That is my mission as your boudoir photographer.
What is boudoir photography? Boudoir is defined as a ladies bedroom or private sitting room Boudoir photography is capturing tasteful and sensual images of women (ages 18 and up) in lingerie and/or being partially clothed or wearing anything that makes you feel beautiful. When you feel beautiful, you are beautiful. Clothing suggestions are listed below. It is more suggestive and not as much revealing. My emphasis is on making you look as beautiful and desirable as you really are. Your comfort level is my utmost concern. I never want you to do anything or pose in a way that makes you uncomfortable.
When to do a boudoir session? Boudoir photography is often done by a bride to be. She will present her husband with an album of her images on their wedding night. Other times for boudoir photography are Anniversaries, Valentines Day, Birthdays or ANY time you want to give your significant other a very special gift he will never forget! Some women also do it just for themselves as well. These are my favorite sessions! Sometimes they have lost weight or reached a fitness goal. Other times they just want to document this stage in their lives. Nothing makes you feel more beautiful than getting your makeup and hair done and having a boudoir/beauty session! Whatever your occasion my mission is to make you feel beautiful and capture images you will look back on for many years to come.
What can I expect? Boudoir is defined as a woman's sitting area or bedroom. The majority of my sessions take place in my private home studio that was specifically designed for beauty/boudoir sessions. For an added fee I can also come to you and do your session in your own bedroom or other location. Wherever your session takes place, I want you to feel totally comfortable and at ease. It is natural to feel a little nervous in the beginning. Pretty much everyone does. I am not judging you at all. I want you to have a great experience and amazing images. Once we get started I promise you that you will have a great time! You will have the freedom to truly express yourself during a boudoir session. Your emotions and personality are expertly captured. Your final images are retouched according to your preferences.
Some clothing suggestions are listed below:
- lingerie
- swimwear
- bikinis/boy shorts
- the little black dress with high heels
- thigh high stockings with garter belts
- tank tops/camisoles with pretty panties/thongs
- corset or bustier
- the simple "white sheet"
- If you are getting married your shoes and wedding veil are great to bring!
- Or even raiding your significant others closet works too! Items like his favorite sport jersey, boxer shorts, dress shirt and tie, his hat, etc.
